A step-up transformer is a type of transformer used to increase voltage. Its main function is to ralse the low voltage to the required high voltage level. A step-up transformer typically consists of a main coil and a secondary coil. The current of the main coil will generate a magnetic field in the iron core, which
will be transmitted to the secondary coil through the common magnetic circuit of the iron core, thereby generating induced potential in the secondary coil. The working principle of a step-up transformer is based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction.
